Who is ASF
ASF is a binational organization whose mission is to provide underserved students in Tijuana, Mexico with access to education and support for academic success so that they can create a promising future for themselves and for the community in which they live.
ASF’s 5 Year Vision
ASF envisions a world, where Tijuana’s youth are emboldened to dream about their futures and have the resources and agency they need to pursue those dreams through education.
ASF’s plans
ASF’s diverse, binational team of educators, mental health advocates, community leaders, and alumni, work across three primary programs to help students reach their full potential. Our goal is to prepare students with the skills, experience and confidence to continue their education, engage in their communities, and turn their dreams into reality.
1. Increasing Access to Education through Scholarships
By providing monthly scholarships and tailored financial support to students, ASF helps families prioritize continued education beyond middle school.
2. Supporting Success through Social Emotional Learning and Leadership Skills
By facilitating unique experiences designed to help students build their awareness, confidence, and resiliency, ASF supports students to excel in the classroom and beyond.
3. Community Building through Alumni Engagement
By creating opportunities for alumni to stay connected and give back; ASF is creating a culture of reinvestment in students, communities and the future of the organization.
Student success builds social and economic capital, strengthening individuals, families, and communities now, and for generations to come.
